Shooting outside in any extreme weather can be challenging. Dubai’s heat is no exception. As the makeup artist on set, making sure the makeup stays put and looks great during the whole shoot is key. 

Here are some tips to keep the makeup looking ready for every shot - 

Using cream based products - The most important thing about creating makeup to withstand heat is that you have to use thick cream based products not liquids. A thick cream foundation can be thinned out by applying it with a damp beauty blender, a little product goes a long way with creams. If you need to contour, again use a thick cream foundation a couple of shades darker than your natural skin tone. 

Water Proof makeup - There are great waterproof eye makeup products from Make Up For Ever, that work wonders in the heat. They will stay put all day. You just have to be quick when applying as they dry quickly and you won’t be able to blend when dry. Always use a waterproof mascara to avoid raccoon eyes in the heat. 

If you don’t want shine you can use a great anti-shine primer, for example Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r.

Hydrating - Reminding the model to drink water will keep her lips hydrated and reduce the overall dryness.
